Turkey Should Be Careful About Karabakh Conflict, Says Slovenian President Danilo Turk

Turkey and other countries playing any role in the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict should be careful and support the resumption of trust between the conflicting parties, Slovenia’s President Danilo Turk said in a joint news conference with Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan in Yerevan today.

“A frozen conflict is disorientating, misleading. It must be resolved,” said Mr Turk, who is paying an official visit to Armenia.
Serzh Sargsyan in turn said that Armenia hasn’t changed its position toward the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

“Our approach towards such a key issue remains irreversible: the conflict must be resolved peacefully, without the use of force or the threat of using force, through today’s format and in a strict observance of the norms of the international law,” said Mr Sargsyan.
