Any social unrest in Armenia can have unpredictable consequences, member of opposition alliance Armenian National Congress and former Yerevan Mayor Vahagn Khachatryan said at a press conference today.

Asked whether or not can a social unrest cause an uprising, Mr Khachatryan said: I won't say an uprising, but there will definitely be discontent," said he, adding that he would not like an uprising to take place due to that reason. "Because it is putting threat to the state."

According to him, Armenia's authorities abuse the people's patience.

Asked what displays public discontent can have, Mr Khachatryan said that it may be expressed in the forms of meetings and discontent and may have unpredictable results.
