In a two-day forum opened today in Yerevan Diasporan Armenian bankers and financiers highlighted the importance of turning Armenia into a regional financial centre.
Aimed at uniting the potential of the Armenian bankers and financiers across the world the forum has brought 45 outstanding Armenian specialists from Ukraine, Russian, France, Great Britain, Spain, US, Lebanon and UAE.
Deputy Chairman of Lebanon’s Central Bank Harutyun Samuelyan said in his speech that a lot needs to be done for Armenia to become a regional financial centre. But for that to happen, Armenia needs first of all to improve its financial indicators and decrease the unemployment rate.
