Armenia Would Recognize NKR Independence In Response To Pressure In The Negotiation Process

Oppositionist party, Heritage, insists that the Armenian Parliament should pass a law on the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh, and the voting on the draft law will be held by the end of the four-day session of the parliament.

Heritage party has submitted the draft law on recognizing the independence of a republic Armenia has de-facto interstate relations with. Interdepartmental agreements are signed between all ministries of Armenia and NKR, Armenia is providing Karabakh with an interstate loan which makes almost half of Karabakh's state budget. Nonetheless, Armenia has not recognized Karabakh's independence out of caution as not to harm the negotiation process within the framework of OSCE Minsk Group.
