Group Opposed to Constitutional Changes in Armenia Plans Public Actions

A group of young activists in Armenia opposed to changes to the country's constitution has told Hetq that it will be convening a summit soon of like-minded political forces and civic organizations to devise a common strategy designed to block the changes.

The group, calling itself "You Will Not Pass", says it has already met with representatives of HAK (Armenian National Congress), the Heritage party and the Founding Parliament.

The group says it plans to stage various public actions in Yerevan and the provinces after the summit and will send a letter to Armenian Public TV requesting that these actions are covered fully and objectively.
