Karabakh wants greater say in Armenian-Azeri talks as EU deplores “lack of progress=?UTF-8?B?4oCdIA==?=in negotiation process

Stepanakert is seeking a greater role in any future initiative regarding peace in the region, according to a statement by Karabakh's top diplomat made in Yerevan on November 29.

"Any regional security model must take into account the factor of Nagorno-Karabakh," said the unrecognized Armenian republic's Foreign Minister Karen Mirzoyan at an international forum hosted by the Armenian capital.

Speaking during the event entitled "Dynamics of Regional Security in the South Caucasus", the Karabakh official underscored the need for a peace process and taking concrete measures to maintain ceasefire.

The potential of the OSCE Minsk Group has not been exhausted but it is necessary to ensure official Stepanakert's full participation in the talks, stressed Mirzoyan.
