The Syrian-Armenians kidnapped from a bus travelling to Aleppo have been freed, Tert.am has learned from reliable sources in Syria’s largest city.
More details will be available later.
Eleven people, including seven ethnic Armenians, were kidnapped from a Beirut-Aleppo bus on Tuesday.
A group of armed rebels had first debused the passengers, but they later set women free, leaving only 11 men in captivity.
The kidnappers demanded the handover of their detained companions-in-arms. They had set a three-day deadline, threatening to kill the men in case the rebels were not returned in that period.
