Amenian President Serzh Sargsyan joined his Karabakh counterpart on Monday in inspecting several military units in the northeastern part of the unrecognized republic.
According to Karabakh President Bako Sahakyan's press office, during the visit the two commanders-in-chief "followed tank artillery exercises, became acquainted with a new command center and took part in the inauguration of St. Gevorg Church in one of the military units."
Sargsyan's press office that said the Armenian president paid a visit to one of the border units in "eastern Armenia" reported that Defense Minister Seyran Ohanian accompanied him on the trip.
Later on Monday, Sargsyan and Sahakyan also reportedly visited coal mines in the village of Maghavuz in Karabakh's Martakert district and monitored the coal mining efforts in the area.
