Syrian-Armenian children arrive in Armenia

Damascus-Yerevan flight bringing 120 Syrian-Armenian children arrived in Zvartnots airport on August 8.
 
Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan, deputy territorial administration minister Vache Terteryan, Syrian ambassador to Armenia and relatives of the children came to meet the children.
 
Director of Lusabats camp and few children of the camp also came to meet the children who are going to have their rest in the camp.
 
The first group of children has arrived in Yerevan today. Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said at a cabinet sitting today that the government will send another two planes to Syria to bring about 300 children to Armenia.
 
Armavia's plane departed for Damascus today at 10.30 a.m. Lusabats camp director and the children distributed sweets to the arrived children.
 
Syrian-Armenian Lusina told Tert.am that the situation in Damascus is not so dangerous. 
"Now it has become calm. We were not so much scared. We heard many different sounds. Syria is our country. I have come to Armenia to see my Homeland and be more safe," the Syrian-Armenian girl said. 
The children have been transported to Hankavan camp by buses.
