Armenia's Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan held a meeting on Tuesday with Ms. Henriette Ahrens, UNICEF Representative in Armenia.The sides discussed children's problems, particularly Syrian-Armenian children's problem. Pursuant to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan's order, the government has focused its attention on the problem.Minister Hakobyan spoke of previously implemented and current programs of assistance to Syrian Armenians.On UNICEF's behalf, Ms Henriette Ahrens expressed willingness to assist Armenia in working with Syrian-Armenian children.Ms Henriette Ahrens noted that she will present the information received at her meeting with Armenia's Minister of Diaspora to all the UNICEF agencies whereafter ways of cooperation will be discussed.Minister Hakobyan expressed hope for an agreement that would lead to efficient cooperation to the benefit of Syrian-Armenian children.
