The existing opinion that the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) remembers the population of the border cities and town only at election time is not right, says Artak Davtyan, a member of the ruling political force.
"I don't think the authorities take no interest at all. They carry out certain work and so do we, as a ruling party. We have a relevant ministry which deals with those affairs," he told Tert.am on Thursday.
As for their silence, Davtyan said that the Republican is not keen to advertise what it considers its routine work.
"That's an everyday activity, so there is no objective to advertise or popularize that," he said, adding that despite all their work, they still have a lot to do.
