An Armenian language text-book for Russian-speaking children has been published recently in the Russian city of Krasnodar.
According to the Russian-Armenian newspaper Yerkramas, the manual, entitled Small Mher (name of an epic Armenian hero) is designed for the Armenian children attending pre-school institutions or primary schools in Russia.
The book was released by the publishing house Khachkar (cross-strone). Its author is Yerazik Harutyunyan, an Armenian language pedagogue.The initiative is thought to be of great help for the Armenian Sunday schools in Russia. It provides an easy access to the Armenian language teaching methodology. It is also seen as a good opportunity for children of other ethnic backgrounds to learn Armenian.
Small Mher comprises a text-book, a teacher's book and a CD.
