Bako Sahakyan meets OSCE chairman-in-office in Yerevan

President of the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) Republic Bako Sahakyan met on Tuesday with OSCE chairman-in-office, minister for foreign affairs and trade of the Republic of Ireland Eamon Gilmore.According to a press release by the NKR Presidential Office, issues related to the settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict were discussed at the meeting.Highly praising the OSCE's efforts in the process, the president stressed the importance of restoring the negotiation format approved at the OSCE Budapest Summit. He said a comprehensive settlement of the conflict would be impossible without Nagorno-Karabakh's direct participation in the talks.The head of the state once again reiterated the official Stepanakert's commitment to a peaceful settlement within the Minsk Group format. He noted at the same time that Azerbaijan's belligerent and anti-Armenian policies, which have recently assumed radical forms, are a key obstacle towards resolving the problem. Sahakyan called for international efforts to respond to such policies.The meeting was also attended by the personal representative of the OSCE chairman-in-office Andrzej Kasprzyk and other officials.
