A forum of free students from the Yerevan State Linguistic University (YSLU) has issued a statement, complaining that the Student Council has attempted to seize from them a petition calling for an early election of the council staff.
“Today – April 28, two members of the student council tried to seize the petition from a female student and invited her to the Dean’s Office to say that the dean (department not identified) has called all those who collect signatures. The student showed resistance; then a scuffle followed,” reads the statement.
When asked why they wanted to take the lists of signatures, the quarreling members of the student council reportedly said that the forum is not supposed to dissolve them.
