Iran is ready to act as a broker between Armenia and Azerbaijan to assist in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the country’s foreign minister has said.
Akbar Salehi made the statement at a news conference with Armenian FM Edward Nalbandyan in Tehran.
“We pursue our interests in the region; hence we seek for peace in the South Caucasus,” he was quoted as saying.
