le=”text-align: justify; “>A workshop on the rights of ethnic minorities in Armenia was conducted today on the initiative of the OSCE Yerevan office aimed at increasing the awareness level of wider layers of population.

Vladimir Chuntulov, responsible for Human Rights Affairs of the OSCE Yerevan office, presented a manual relating to ethnic minorities prepared by the OSCE Yerevan office in close collaboration with the government’s department on ethnic minorities and religion affairs and Armenia’s Foreign Ministry.

‘The manual presents a sketch relating to the provisions of ratified international agreements on ethnic minorities’ rights as well as documents and extracts from Armenia’s legislation,’ Chuntulov said, adding that the knowledge of legislative provisions and international standards is important for protection of ethnic minorities’ rights.  Read more...
