The Democratic Party of Armenia has agreed to sign the Republican’s proposal on ensuring free and fair elections in Armenia.
In a statement, the Party’s political board has given approval to the document, expressing willingness to follow the rules enshrined therein.
The coalition parties, Prosperous Armenia and Rule of Law, as well as the opposition Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaksutyun (ARF-D), and the Communist Party, have also approved the deal.
The document setting out rules for ensuring a civilized campaign was earlier proposed at the ruling Republican Party’s Executive Board meeting chaired by President Serzh Sargsyan.
