le=”text-align: justify; “>Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian received on Monday a delegation headed by Ms. Katalin Bogyay, President of UNESCO’s 36th General Conference, and Mr Getachew Engida, UNESCO Deputy Director-General.
The delegation arrived in Armenia on the occasion of celebrations of Yerevan World Book Capital 2012.
Minister Nalbandian thanked the guests for taking part in the celebrations in Armenia’s capital. Armenia has for 20 years been involved in UNESCO’s activities in various areas. Minister Nalbandian re-affirmed Armenia’s willingness to be actively involved in UNESCO’s agencies and projects.
The UNESCO officials offered their congratulations on an impressive inauguration of the Yerevan World Book Capital 2012 celebrations. They noted that the number and level of the festive events are evidence of the importance attached to book and printing in Armenia.
