As part of his visit to the Iran, FM Edward Nalbandyan met on Saturday the country’s foreign minister, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
According to Mehr news agency, Ahmadinejad spoke of historical ties between the two countries, highlighting the importance of trade-economic relations.
“In the past 20 years since Armenia’s independence, our countries have maintained friendly ties, and it is now time to expand the relationship in trade, economic and other sectors,” he said.
Nalbandyan’s official visit to Iran started today and is expected to continue tomorrow.
