Turkish, Azeri, Iranian FMs to meet in Nakhichevan on March 7

The Turkish, Azerbaijani and Iranian foreign ministers are planning to meet on March 7 in the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic in Azerbaijan as part of a series of meetings regularly held between the three states, Today’s Zaman reported.

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi are reportedly planning to discuss issues of common interest to all three states. The foreign ministers are aiming to implement joint projects for peace and prosperity in the region.

March 7’s discussions will follow a number of meetings between the foreign ministers to discuss regional issues, including the peaceful settlement of ongoing, explosive conflicts in the region and the need to build a favorable climate to achieve this.
