Prosperous Armenia leader Gagik Tsarukyan’s speech at the party’s sixth session contained both positive and negative remarks as the politician addressed not only Armenia’s achievements but also the existing gaps.
He particularly focused on the poverty rate and migration, calling for action to ensure the society’s well-being.
“If no immediate solution is found, we will have to record increased poverty and a higher rate of emigration,” he said. “Our youth have to build their future in their homeland. And the only solution to prevent it is to create jobs.”
Tsarukyan noted that the impact of the 2008 global economic recession was particularly great on small and medium-sized enterprises which, unlike big businesses, faced the threat of closedown.
