Armenian businesswoman killed in Moscow

An Armenian businesswoman has been shot to death in Moscow.

According to the Russian newspaper Izvestia, the owner of the Japanese restaurant Tanuki, Irina Ziroyan, was killed in the aftermath of an armed assault near her own restaurant after dinner. The employees of the restaurant said she was hurrying to a business meeting.

“She went out to the street with her bodyguard and walked towards the car. The car is usually parked in front of the building, but this time there was no parking space and they had to stop it near the neighboring building,” a restaurant worker was quoted as saying.
