le=”text-align: justify; “>The Yerkrapah union of volunteers is not a political structure to support either the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) or the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) or any other political force, Vardan Vardanyan, Public Relations Officer, Yerkrapah Board, told Tert.am.
He confirmed the information that Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan is to take part in the union’s 9th congress scheduled for Feb. 18. “Serzh Sargsyan has been invited as Armenia’s president and a Yerkrapah union member,” he said.
Mr Vardanyan rules out that Yerkrapah union Chairman, General Manvel Grigoryan may pledge support to the ruling party (RPA) at the coming congress. “At present I am not informed of the body of the text, but the Yerkrapah union, as a significant factor, may express its support to the Armenian president’s policy in the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process,” Vardanyan said.
