Heritage party nominates candidate for Parliament speaker

le=”text-align: justify;”>At its sitting Dec. 5, Armenia’s Parliament discussed the issue of electing Parliament speaker.

Galust Sahakyan, a member of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), said that the RPA Board discussed the issue of nominating its candidate to the post and nominated Samvel Nikoyan for Acting Speaker of Armenia’s Parliament.

Chairman of the Heritage party Raffi Hovhannisyan proposed the Heritage group member Larisa Alaverdyan, an intellectual and experienced political figure.

Samvel Nikoyan expressed his willingness to apply his experience in the Armenian Parliament’s further activities.

“I will go on contributing to a healthy atmosphere in Parliament and to implementation of successful programs,” Nikoyan said.  Read more... (172 words)
