le=”text-align: justify;”>At his Dec. 8 meeting with journalists, David Shahnazaryan, a member of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC), stated the ANC attaches high importance to stabilization of Armenian-Georgian relations.
“Georgia is really a country of law. Eighty percent of the country’s population trust the police. Normal relations with such a neighbor is of strategic importance for Armenia,” he said.
Shahnazaryan welcomed the recent progress and noted the Armenian authorities’ effective work.
Tert.am asked Mr. Shahnazaryan to comment on the recent parliamentary elections in Russia.
“The situation is changing in Russia, which will have an impact on the Russian authorities’ domestic and foreign policy. As to the extent, it is yet early to discuss it,” he said.
