Follow-up on Scandal: Priest confirms “unpleasant=?UTF-8?B?4oCd?= episode involving prosecutor

A priest who was ministering at Khor Virap on Monday has confirmed to ArmeniaNow that he witnessed a state prosecutor use vulgar language to dismiss a group that was harassing the prosecutor during a visit to the revered monastery located on the grounds of old Artashat. The
site, Khor Virap ("The Deep Hole") is the very place were the founder of Armenian Christianity, Gregory the Illuminator is said to have been imprisoned for 13 years during the fourth century.

As reported Tuesday,on the grounds of Khor Virap, a verbal altercation took place between Armenia's Head of Corruption and Organized Crime Department of the General Prosecutor's Office, Koryun Piloyan and a group including members of the Armenian National Congress, an alliance of opposition political parties.
