Armenian football team not to play with Belarus in Turkey

Recent reports that the Armenian football team is going to meet the Belarusian sportsmen in what appears to be a friendly match in Turkey have been denied.

It comes after the president the country’s Football Federation, Vazgen Safaryan, told the Belarusian media that the two countries teams are going to play a friendly match Turkey on February 29.

The Armenian side did not confirm the report, saying that negotiations over the scheduled match are underway. Later, the Belarusian news outlets reported that Armenia is ready to compete with Belarus anywhere apart from Turkey.  Read more... (148 words)
